A Tale of Two Sisters by Anna Maxted

A Tale of Two Sisters From one extreme to the other, this book, A Tale of Two Sisters, is a lot lighter then the last book I wrote about.  Anna Maxted has written several other books that I have enjoyed so when I saw this one I didn’t have to think twice.

This book is about two sisters who are very different from each other but also very close to each other.  Lizbet is described as being a little more care free, plainer looking and is in a strong relationship with Tim, her live in boyfriend.  Cassie is described as being very good looking, high strung and is struggling in her marriage to George.  They have parents who they tolerate but have always had each other.

This changes when they start having falling outs over some big things in life.  They both are learning that they do not always get what they want or what they expect.  And that even with their differences they might have more in common than they ever knew.  There is a strong relationship and history between Lizbet and Cassie and there sibling relationship reflects common elements that we almost all can relate too.

This is a book that I enjoyed, however if you haven’t read any Anna Maxted before I would start with Getting Over It or Behaving Like Adults.  This is perfect if you are looking for a good beach book or something just a little lighter to read.
