I read a Carol Goodman novel years ago and really enjoyed it. I think it's about time I read another one of her books, so thanks for reminding me!

Oh, my goodness...this sounds right up my alley!! I do love mythology, I love art novels, restoration, and you throw in a thriller/mystery/suspense in the mix of it all?? Yes, this is exactly a book that I would love to read!!

Sounds like a lovely and fluid read -- sometimes I can really get into those sweeping novels of generations and dreams... so beautiful to get swept up in it!

I read outloud to Josh the date where the woman never stopped talking. Funny. I've heard that this has been optioned for a movie and I think it could be done well. The two things I think he presented most that affected me were: 1. grief- how personal and yet universal it is and 2. how hard it is to accept good things that come as a result of bad things that you didn't want to have happen.

Which Jonathan Tropper book are you onto next? I read Plan B already.

I absolutely LOVED this novel. Such a beautiful story. You should try Lahiri's short story collections, too - Interpreter of Maladies and Unaccustomed Earth - both are absolutely fantastic.
